Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking an OB Technician to support the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The role involves direct patient care across neonate to adult, and collaboration with RNs, physicians, and families.

The position is Per Diem with a Day shift; responsibilities include handling birth certificates and declarations of paternity, along with required certifications. 1+ year of acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification within 30 days and must be maintained.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program, Paramedic Training Program or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients of various ages (neonate, adolescent, adult).
• Interacts with physicians, patients, families/significant others, hospital staff and community agencies in providing basic care.
• Responsible for completion and processing of the birth certificates and Declaration of Paternity forms.
• Per Diem role; 1+ year of acute care experience preferred.

Education
