Job summary

UNC Health Blue Ridge is seeking a PRN OB Surgical Technician to support our obstetrics unit, assisting in obstetrical procedures and postpartum care with a focus on patient safety and surgical precision.

You will work in a state-of-the-art facility alongside experienced professionals, ensuring high-quality care for mothers and newborns. Prior surgical tech training and BLS/CPR through the American Heart Association are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved surgical technician program.
• BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in obstetrical procedures in a fast-paced obstetrics unit.
• Prioritize patient safety and maintain attention to detail during care.
• Support team with sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive environment for mothers and newborns.
