Job summary

Blessing Health System in Quincy, IL is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist with direct patient care activities and non-nursing tasks under the supervision of the RN and/or Licensed Physician in collaboration with other nursing staff.

The role serves patients from neonate to geriatric, requiring understanding of the developmental age of the individual served and integration into the scrub tech team in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technician program or 2 years experience in a scrub tech role.
• Preferred: Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care activities and non-nursing tasks under the supervision of the RN and/or Licensed Independent Physician.
• Provide services to a wide age range from neonate to geriatric in alignment with patient development and age-appropriate needs.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing assistance with direct patient care activities and non-nursing tasks under the direct supervision of the RN and/or Licensed Independent Physician in cooperation with other nursing staff.

This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Education/Training/Experience

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Graduate of Surgical Technician program or 2 years experience in a scrub tech role.

Preferred

• Good communication skills

License/Certifications/Special Requirements

• Required: Documented on the job experience in a scrub tech role.
• Preferred: Current Surgical technologist certificate recommended within 90 days of graduation. (Note: Certification must be received by Director)
