Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Minimum 5 years of scrub tech experience or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Completion of accredited medical personnel program (CNA, MA, LPN, EMT I/II, SPD tech) with on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
• Set up tables, instruments, and supplies for cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and circumcisions; maintaining sterile technique.
• Respond to patient calls, anticipate needs, and ensure safety and comfort through rounds.
• Maintain stock and equipment inventories in the department and patient rooms.
• Assist in preparation and draping; pass, count instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies used in procedures.
• Maintain surgical instruments by washing, packaging, sterilizing, and storage.
