St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking an Obstetrics Operating Room Nurse Manager to lead the unit’s daily operations, staffing, and quality initiatives.

The role focuses on high-quality, patient-centered care with strong leadership in a Level IV obstetric setting. The ideal candidate holds a BSN, TX RN license, and demonstrates leadership experience, with preferred certifications in ACLS, NRP, FHM, or RNC-OB.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Specialty certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Current TX RN license or compact license; TX licensure required within 6 months if out-of-state.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• NRP preferred for L&D; FHM preferred; RNC-OB preferred.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare experience and 1 year leadership experience.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily unit function and staffing to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Lead efforts to improve patient safety, outcomes, and adherence to policies and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and throughput to maintain efficient service delivery.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and assign staff with appropriate clinical competencies.
• Develop staff through training and professional development opportunities.
• Support achievement of benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
