Job summary

Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, OH, seeks an OB Nursing Supervisor to lead clinical operations, ensure safe, high-quality patient care, and mentor staff.

The role is on-site, overseeing staffing, admissions, discharges, and compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

Candidates should be a Diploma/ADN RN licensed in Ohio with at least two years of clinical experience; BSN and executive leadership certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing or ADN from an accredited school.
• Registered Nurse licensed in Ohio by time of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• BSN preferred; Leadership/Executive Nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for clinical operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate staffing, patient flow, admissions, and discharges to maintain continuity of care and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional practice standards, and regulatory requirements while serving as a clinical and ethical resource for staff.
• Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, patients, families, and hospital leadership to support decision-making, resolve concerns, and promote patient safety and satisfaction.
• Facilitate staff development through mentoring, coaching, and identifying education and competency.
• Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety. Works hours per week per offer letter or per transfer request; longer hours may be necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
