Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the ABSN program in the San Antonio area. The instructor will oversee clinical education for University of Incarnate Word ABSN students, teaching in a clinical area and guiding standards of practice, critical thinking, and professional development.

Requirements include a Master's in nursing, an active Texas RN license or compact license, at least two years of clinical practice, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts; teaching

Qualifications

• Master's in nursing is required.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• Minimum of two years of successful clinical nursing practice.
• Able to work 12 hour shifts in a clinical setting if required.
• Two years of teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical setting.
• Provide guidance for students in professionalism, practice, and research.
• Select and organize learning activities to meet course objectives.
• Ensure effective evaluations of student practice.
• Promote evidence-based practice.
• Provide feedback on student progress to supervisory personnel.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration and healthcare partner staff.
• Attend all required orientation, training and faculty meetings.
