Job summary

Requirements include an RN license, a BSN is preferred, and certifications such as BLS and ACLS as needed. The OB Flex Team provides flexible, cross-trained staffing across Downtown and West Campuses.

Qualifications

• RN license required or compact state license.
• BSN preferred.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 6 weeks of hire.
• ACLS certification within 9 months if required by department.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity and caring in professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care across units using the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Leads and directs healthcare personnel as assigned by unit needs.
• Takes assigned call and supports patient care during admissions and transfers.
• Performs patient care duties, clerical tasks, and maintains charts and records.
• Ensures safety of patients and proper use of equipment and supplies.
