Job summary

MercyOne Mason City is seeking an experienced NICU nurse to join our Labor and Delivery and NICU teams. This Baylor-position weekend package supports dedicated care for newborns and families in a safe, coordinated environment.

You will deliver patient care with a multidisciplinary team, assist with obstetric and neonatal needs, and float between Birth Center and Pediatrics as required. An Iowa RN license or recent graduate status is required; BSN is preferred, with NICU/obstetric experience

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa or a recent RN graduate.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Experience in well or ill newborn, and/or obstetric care and/or acute care preferred.
• Preferred certification in low risk neonatal nursing care / related clinical certification.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual able to work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care with the multidisciplinary team using the nursing process.
• Care for well and ill newborns requiring neonatal intensive care services.
• Float between Birth Center and Pediatrics units as needed.
