Mcpherson Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Women’s Care and Birth Center. The PRN position covers 12-hour shifts, delivering family-centered nursing care to mothers and newborns across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.

Responsibilities include evaluating fetal status, educating patients, administering medications, and coordinating with physicians. Kansas RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP within 6 months are required; prior OB experience preferred.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in nursing (two-year program) required.
• Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) preferred.
• Licensed in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hiring.
• Minimum 6 months of RN experience.
• One to two years OB experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, plan, implement and document nursing care for OB patients from antepartum to postpartum.
• Work as a team on 12-hour shifts to manage OB patient flow from labor to home.
• Assess understanding of plan of care and provide education during hospital stay.
• Follow 5 rights of medication administration and document actions.
• Communicate patient condition and plan with doctors and staff to coordinate care.
• Monitor patient status and vital signs, adjusting care as needed for mother and baby.
