Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group is seeking a Neonatologist to join a 3-person physician team and 6 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in Boise. A potential 0.2 FTE Medical Director role may be available for those with leadership interest.

The Boise NICU is Level III with ~250+ annual births and extensive neonatal care capabilities, collaborating with OB/GYN, MFM and genetics teams to deliver high-quality care close to home.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and board eligible/c-certified.
• Completion of an ACGME or AO and Neonatology fellowship.
• ABP certification within 3 years of employment.
• Idaho medical licensure and privileges at SAMC/ SARMC Boise.

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries and facilitate NICU admissions.
• Manage NICU patients with NNP oversight for well newborns.
• Lead multidisciplinary NICU rounds and implement management strategies.
• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, MFM, genetic counselors and NICU team.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a Neonatologist to join their employed, 3 Neonatologist and 6 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner team in Boise. In addition to a clinical role, candidates with leadership experience or interest may be considered for a 0.2 FTE Medical Director position, if desired.

Our 32-bed, Level III NICU in Boiseprovides a high level of care for 250+ infants annually, offering conventional ventilation, iNO, HFOV, and jet ventilation for very early preterm, late preterm and term infants. The NICU serves families from Boise and the surrounding areas in Idaho and eastern Oregon to allow expert neonatal care close to home.The Saint Alphonsus Family Maternity Center delivers 1,400+ infants a year and is staffed by a highly certified L&D nursing staff, OB Hospitalist service, and onsite 24-hour anesthesia (CRNA) coverage.Our safety-oriented team of OB/GYNs collaborate with on-campus Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians, Neonatologists, and genetic counselors to serve the region's diverse patient population.

Our 4-bed, Level II NICU in Nampa(15 miles west of Boise) is clinically integrated with the Birkeland Maternity Center with an annual delivery rate of 1400 babies and is the only NICU in Canyon County. The NICU provides a high level of care for newborns >34wks and 1500g.

Responsibilities include:

• Attend high-risk deliveries and facilitate NICU admissions;
• Manage NICU patients and NNP oversight for well newborn nursery patients;
• Lead multidisciplinary rounds in the NICU by providing active management strategies that may include nutritional adjustments, ventilator management, lab and radiology review, and updating families.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree;
• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Pediatric and Neonatology fellowship programs;
• Certification by the ABP or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment;
• Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC – Boise and SAMC - Nampa;

Schedule:

Neo service coverage: avg 10 days/month block coverage; team rounds at both units for NICU infants only; anticipated 8am-4pm onsite(s)
