Job summary

Howard University Hospital seeks a Lead Ultrasound Technologist to oversee radiology operations and perform OB/GYN sonograms, biophysical profiles, NSTs, and AFIs. You will assist with amniocentesis and CVS, coordinate staffing, train staff, and present findings to physicians.

The role requires an Associates degree in Radiology or equivalent, ARDMS and BLS certifications, and prior leadership experience. Salary is competitive with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Lead responsibilities in Radiology Operations and OB/GYN sonograms.
• Leadership experience preferred; 3–5 years in ultrasound.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign daily workflow; determine staffing coverage.
• Perform OB/GYN sonograms, biophysical profiles, NSTs, AFIs.
• Assist with amniocentesis and CVS procedures.
• Train and orient staff; participate in lead technologist meetings.
• Document and present images and measurements to physicians.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and high-quality care.
• Troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to minimize downtime.
