Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years LVN experience or three years MA experience.
• OB-GYN clinic experience preferred.
• Experience using computer systems, mouse, keyboard, and intranet.

Responsibilities

• Obtains, verifies, and records health history of patients. Gathers pertinent health data through assessments via telephone communication. Dispositions patient information using sound clinical judgement; recognizes abnormalities or urgent problems and seeks appropriate assistance.
• Documents assessments, interventions, patient responses, and medication dispensed/prescribed, and test results in medical records.
• Promotes wellness by providing patient education, communicating physician advice/instructions.
• Fulfills organizational responsibilities, including promoting patient rights; communicates information to other health care team; documents patient telephone calls and patient complaints.
• Fulfills LVN or MA responsibilities that vary according to state law.
