Job summary

University Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of patient health outcomes. The role includes patient education and discharge planning, and requires teamwork to achieve care goals.

The ideal candidate will have NJ RN licensure, a nursing degree, and at least two years of Staff Nurse experience with OB/GYN/post-partum exposure in the last three years, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in New Jersey or eligible for NJ license.
• Graduate of a School of Nursing.
• Minimum of two years Staff Nurse experience, including at least one year in OB/GYN/Post-Partum in the past 3 years.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and ensure patient safety and goal achievement by assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, and evaluating health problems.
• Educate patients and plan discharge.
• Mobilize patients and prevent skin breakdown, falls.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and guide patient care.
