Your job is more than a job. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing all diagnostic procedures related to ultrasound. Provides clinical services according to radiology/imaging practice standards. Demonstrates skills and knowledge in use of all ultrasound equipment and performance of all protocols and procedures. Demonstrates technical proficiency in producing high quality exams within the appropriate length of time for procedure. Provides educational presentations to physicians and technical staff.
Does not formally supervise employees.
Heavy physical requirements (50–100 lbs occasionally; 25–50 lbs frequently; 10–20 lbs constantly). Frequent sitting, standing, walking (36–66% of day). Occasional lifting of objects up to 100+ lbs, occasional carrying, push/pull and twisting frequently. Continuous wrist deviation, continuous keyboard use, continuous talking or hearing.
