Job summary

Women's Health Connecticut, affiliated with Physician for Women's Health, is seeking a full-time OB/GYN physician to support our four-day work week in New Milford, CT, with hospital affiliations and locations in New Milford and Torrington.

You will diagnose and treat obstetric and gynecologic patients, participate in women's health care, and gain competence in the EMR system while providing compassionate patient care in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have experience in OB/GYN or women's health.
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certified or board eligible.
• Connecticut medical license and federal/state controlled substance licenses when applicable.
• BLS certification and eligibility for hospital privileges.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient data.
• Order or perform procedures such as injections, immunizations, and wound care.
• Counsel patients on treatment plans, growth, development, and family planning.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and maintain continuity of care.
• Gain competence with the Electronic Medical Record system.
• Billing submission at the time of office visit.
