Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN to join an established practice. This employed position offers a balanced schedule with clinic days, procedure days, and dedicated administrative time, plus access to Da Vinci robotic surgery and modern surgical suites.

Qualifications

• MD/DO credentialed and licensed in TN required.
• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy required.
• Board certification or eligibility in obstetrics/gynecology preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care including prenatal, high-risk obstetrics, and gynecologic services.
• Perform hospital deliveries and outpatient/inpatient procedures including laparoscopy/robotic surgery.
• Collaborate with MFM, neonatology, anesthesia and OB nursing teams.
• Manage L&D triage and OB emergencies as part of a dedicated hospitalist coverage.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Join an established practice currently comprising 3 physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Balanced Workweek: 2 to 2.5 Clinic Days, 2 Procedure Days, 0.5 Day Administrative Time
• Call Structure: Dedicated OB Hospitalist (Laborist) coverage manages unassigned patients, L&D triage, and OB emergency cases, eliminating traditional after-hours office call and protecting your quality of life.
• Practice setting: Outpatient OB/GYN clinic with access to state-of-the-art patient rooms, modern surgical suites, and Da Vinci robotic surgery technology.
• Patient Population: Dedicated community-based women's health practice delivering care to a complex, resource-intensive patient base.
• Employed position within a national nonprofit Catholic health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in obstetrics & gynecology
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
• Rooted in compassionate, person-centered care, our practice delivers essential, dignity-first health services to a diverse patient population, with a strong commitment to serving Medicaid, TennCare, and historically underserved families
• Direct comprehensive outpatient and inpatient women's health services, conducting routine and complex prenatal care, high-risk obstetric management, routine gynecologic care, hospital deliveries, outpatient/inpatient procedures, and laparoscopic or da Vinci robotic surgeries

• Features the newly opened 22-bed Lee and Susan Moss Family Neonatal Level III Intensive Care Unit to manage high-acuity infants close to home.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
