Job summary

Women’s Health Connecticut is seeking a full-time OB/GYN physician to join Middlesex OB/GYN Associates, affiliated with a large regional network. The practice offers strong patient volume, on-site imaging, and a collaborative environment in Middlesex County, CT.

Ideal candidates will have MD/DO credentials, CT licensure, and board eligibility or certification. The role includes call duties, hospital privileges, and a pathway toward partnership in a community-based hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health required.
• MD/DO from accredited medical school.
• Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain.
• Board certification or eligibility expected.
• Licensure for Federal and State controlled substances where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive exams and collect patient medical data.
• Order or perform procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
• Counsel patients on treatment regimens, family planning, and health maintenance.
• Develop and follow patient management plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Gain competence in the Electronic Medical Record System.
• Billing submission at the time of office visit.

Middlesex OB&GYN Associates, of Physicians for Women's Health, is seeking a full-time Physician to support our OB/GYN practice. Current Provider staffing within the practice includes 5 MDs, 1 FNP, 1 WHNP, and 1 PMHNP. Obstetricians take equal call and service patients in two office locations: Middletown, CT and Essex, CT.

• Approximately 300-350 deliveries a year

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical examination, and compile patient medical data including health history and results of physical examination.
• Orders or performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
• Develops and implements patient management plans, follows hospitalized patients as appropriate, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
• Gain competence in Electronic Medical Record System.
• Billing submission at time of office visit.
