Job summary

The Lowell General Hospital, affiliated with Tufts Medicine, seeks an OB/GYN physician to provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care in Lowell, MA. The role offers a 4-day work week with shared call coverage and access to a modern Birthing Center and on-site support from anesthesia and neonatology teams.

Candidates should be board certified/eligible in OB/GYN, complete residency in the specialty, and be licensed in Massachusetts or eligible.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN.
• Completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Experience or interest in robotics is a plus but not required.
• Community-based outpatient practice experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of obstetrical and gynecological care.
• Shared hospital call with dedicated OB Hospitalist support.
• Work closely with a large, multidisciplinary provider team.
• Access to a state-of-the-art Birthing Center with OB ORs and NICU staff.

About the Position

• Provide a full range of obstetrical and gynecological care
• Shared hospital call with dedicated OB Hospitalist support
• Work closely with a large, multidisciplinary provider team
• Access to a state-of-the-art Birthing Center, including: 12 private labor & delivery rooms 2 dedicated OB operating rooms OB emergency room Level II-B Special Care Nursery In-house anesthesia and neonatology coverage
• For clinician educators: Academic appointment available. Opportunity to teach medical students and residents from Tufts University School of Medicine in both surgical and outpatient settings

Who You Are

• Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN
• Completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Experience or interest in robotics is a plus but not required
• Background supporting a community-based outpatient practice is a plus
• Holds or is eligible for a current Massachusetts medical license
• A team player who collaborates across disciplines to champion exceptional patient care and satisfaction

The salary range for this position is $325,000 to $350,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
