Job summary

Women's Health Connecticut is seeking a physician to join a collaborative OB/GYN practice in Danbury, CT. The role focuses on providing obstetric and gynecologic care within a supportive community of 275+ providers, emphasizing clinician satisfaction and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities include comprehensive exams, procedures, patient counseling, and care coordination. Connecticut license or ability to obtain is required, as well as board eligibility or certification and licensure

Qualifications

• Experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health.
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certified or board eligible.
• Connecticut license or ability to obtain.
• Federal and state controlled substance licenses.
• Eligible for hospital privileges.
• Effective communication (verbal and written), listening, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data including history and results of exams.
• Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
• Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional issues, and health maintenance.
• Develop and implement patient management plans, follow hospitalized patients as appropriate, record progress notes, and assist in continuity of care.
• Gain competence in the Electronic Medical Record System.
• Submit billing at time of office visit.

Physician for Women’s Health (PWH) is an affiliate of Women's Health Connecticut, providing obstetrical and gynecological care to patients of all ages.
