Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois seeks a qualified RN/APRN to join our Obstetrics/Gynecology department. This full-time role requires travel between sites and coverage of two campuses, with 1-2 Saturdays per month.

The ideal candidate will perform OB-GYN procedures, manage patient care within an interdisciplinary team, and maintain accurate EMR documentation while upholding high standards of quality and safety. Active RN and APRN licenses, national board certification, and Master's in Nursing are

Qualifications

• Active RN and APRN licenses in state(s) of practice, AND
• Active national board certification in area of clinical practice and populations served, AND
• Active DEA registration prior to hire, AND
• If Illinois practice: active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire, AND
• Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire
• Education Required: Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Experience Required: No experience required

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and determines treatment and management plans appropriate for age, acuity and condition.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies and prescription of therapies.
• Manages conditions based on evidence-based care, cost awareness, and risk-benefit assessment.
• Provides health promotion, disease prevention and disease management counseling.
• Maintains accurate EMR documentation and compliant coding.
• Facilitates coordinated care and clear communication among care team.
