BAS HealthCare in Manchester, CT is seeking Advanced Practitioners (PA/NP) for inpatient OB/GYN coverage. Join a seasoned team supporting 12 OB/GYNs and 11 CNMs with duties that include postpartum rounds, discharges, and surgical care.

Open to new graduates; CT license required or eligible. Inpatient, no-call schedule, mentorship, and state-of-the-art EPIC technology await the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Connecticut Medical License or eligible.
• Certified or board-eligible PA or ACNP.
• Night shift availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform postpartum rounds, discharges and general inpatient obstetric care.
• Provide first-access in gynecology cases including laparoscopic/robotic surgery.
• Assist with cesarean sections and operate at the top of license in OR.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and coordinate referrals as needed.

Job Details

• Join a seasoned and growing team of APPs supporting 12 OB/GYNs and 11 CNMs in an inpatient OB/GYN setting
• Open to both Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, including new graduates
• Responsibilities include postpartum rounds, discharges, and surgical care
• Perform FBC rounds and first-assist in gynecology cases including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries
• Assist with C-sections and practice at the top of your license in the OR
• Full-time nights with a flexible schedule and premium shift differentials offered
• No call schedule required
• Conduct routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs including referrals to specialists and care team members
• Provide treatment for problems within scope of practice and refer appropriately when needed
• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
• Must be a certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• Dedicated support provided through the Office of Advanced Practice
• Access to state-of-the-art clinical technology including EPIC for streamlined continuity of care
• Mentorship and orientation programs available for newly hired providers and those new to practice
