Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health’s AMG Hazel Crest location is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time float role traveling to Southland sites. You will support providers, engage with patients, record vital signs, prepare exams, and assist during procedures, contributing to a seamless, compassionate care experience.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a medical assistant diploma or two years' MA experience (or certified MA with two years' experience), and prior OB or Women's Health

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience.
• Previous experience working in an OB or Women's Health clinic or department.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
