Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time role in a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with a pay range of $21.85-$32.80 per hour. The position requires MA certification/education and BLS where applicable, and involves rooming patients, vital signs, labs, vaccines, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training in lieu of a medical assistant program.
• 2 years verifiable MA experience in last 5 years (for some divisions) may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and patient history; conduct health maintenance and screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures and administer medications/vaccines.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen handling, and POCT per standing orders.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals; assist with insurance authorizations.
• Maintain clean work environment and stock supplies; communicate effectively with team.
• Provide age-appropriate care and document patient data in EMR.
