Job summary

Billings Clinic Bozeman OB/GYN seeks a Medical Assistant I to support patient care and administrative tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will collaborate with Physicians, APPs, RNs, and other staff to ensure efficient patient flow and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, assisting with scheduling, collecting patient histories, and handling labs and vaccines as part of a patient-centered team. Starting wage DOE with potential growth.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete the MA Residency or obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
• Experience: Six (6) months experience in a healthcare-related field preferred.
• Certifications and Licenses: CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies based on patient needs and the specific type of examination or procedure.
• Assist with patient scheduling for appointments, diagnostic tests, treatments, procedures, and surgeries.
• Help with registration and co-pay collection as necessary.
• Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant data.
• Assist with minor procedures and physical exams, ensuring proper documentation in the patient's medical record.
• Collect and label laboratory specimens according to Billings Clinic policies and ensure proper handling.
• Administer basic vaccines to eligible patients aged 18 and older.
