Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - OB GYN for a Part Time, 0.80 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $25.62 – $34.58.

The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. In collaboration with the healthcare team, assists physicians/providers in the delivery of patient care working within the scope of practice

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• MOA certification exam eligibility considered (MOA).
• Apprenticeship/ training as Medical Assistant may apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination and records vital signs.
• Prepares exam rooms and maintains supplies and equipment.
• Administers injections, splints, wound care per provider orders.
• Maintains supplies and sterilization of equipment.
• Transports specimens as needed.
• Assists in scheduling tests and follow-up appointments.
• Maintains patient files and data entry in EMR.
• Provides phone screening to clinical staff and physicians.
• Collaborates with staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
