Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in an ambulatory clinic setting under clinician supervision. You will assist with information gathering, patient communications, and teamwork to support efficient patient visits.

Ideal candidates will have MA training or experience, BLS certification, and solid computer and interpersonal skills to protect PHI and deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or one year of Medical Assistant Experience or a current RN/LPN license.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the clinician's supervision and assist the provider with visit-related information gathering.
• Communicate clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient care and ensure attention to detail and follow-through.
