Job summary

Atrium Health in the Fort Mill area is seeking a Medical Assistant to support obstetrics/gynecology clinics. You will perform rooming, vitals, med reconciliations, chart reviews and assist providers with procedures.

The role requires completing a Medical Assistant program or equivalent, a high school diploma, and BLS certification; 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, with a pay range and sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or eligible military training in clinical area per DD214 in lieu of a formal MA program.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs, med reconciliation, and health maintenance.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, and POCT per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, and patient communications as needed.
• Maintains clean work environment and stocked areas.
• May train and onboard teammates; may serve on committees.
