Job summary

InterCare Community Health Network is seeking a full-time OB/GYN Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a busy clinic in Benton Harbor, MI. The role includes OB screenings, patient education, and coordination of tests and referrals.

You will work Monday–Friday, with a focus on accuracy, patient communication, and compliance with policies. Benefits include PTO, holidays and insurance options.

Qualifications

• Requires MA certificate or associate degree in medical assisting.
• Must have or obtain NST training within 90 days of hire.
• Maintain BLS certification as required by InterCare policies.
• Proficient in English/Spanish interpretation for patient exchanges.
• Strong customer service, attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Performs high level medical assistant functions including OB screenings.
• Preps for daily OB and family planning appointments and gathers documents.
• Collaborates with providers to order tests, referrals and meds.
• Documents OB deliveries and closes OB chart after discharge.
• Administers immunizations and in-house lab testing per policy.
