Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Elyria Family Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant for the OB/GYN-Ambulatory Operations team in Elyria, OH. This full-time role involves supporting patient care, medication management, and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations.

You will collaborate with care teams to create a welcoming environment, assist with patient monitoring, and maintain exam areas and equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program.
• Completion of a clinical externship (Extensive clinical experience may be considered in lieu of formal externship).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA or Red Cross.
• Current demonstrated clinical proficiency.
• Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM) or related roles will be considered.
• Medical Assisting Certification is preferred.
• Successful completion of Cleveland Clinic Externship is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
