Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital's OB/GYN-Ambulatory Operations team is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Women’s Health team. You will support patient care, medication management, and administrative tasks in a welcoming environment.

This full-time day shift runs 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Qualified candidates will have a Medical Assisting program or equivalent military training and BLS certification, plus externship or hands-on clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program OR military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it during your new hire period
• Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration
