This OB GYN Hospitalist position is primarily based at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center and Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Opportunities for coverage at other sites within the Legacy system may be available.

The OB/GYN Hospitalist program supports inpatient needs of the Legacy Medical Group Maternal Fetal Medicine service. Responsibilities include collaboration with MFM providers, coverage for unassigned labor/triage patients, support for private practice OB/GYNs, and handling gynecologic emergencies. RCH has a Level IV NICU and serves high-risk pregnancies. In-house anesthesia is available 24/7, and local residents provide 24/7 coverage.

Shifts are 12 or 24 hours in-house, with flexibility in scheduling. Weekend and holiday shifts are rotated. The FTE is flexible (0.6-1.0) based on your preference.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Graduate of a four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent with OB-GYN residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN
• Unrestricted medical license in Oregon and Washington
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Bilingual skills are a plus

Procedures and Skills

• Full OB scope, including low and high-risk pregnancies, NSVD, operative deliveries, cesarean sections, VBAC, and management of complications
• Gynecology procedures such as D&C, laparoscopy, adnexal surgeries, tubal ligation
