Job summary

The University of South Florida's Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology seeks a Vice Chair of Education to lead and expand all educational programs and staff. Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution with demonstrated teaching, research, and service.
• Eligible for appointment at Assistant/Associate/Full Professor.
• Board-eligible/certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• At least three years of leadership in OB/GYN education programs (residency/fellowship/clerical).
• Must be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine the department's medical education mission across undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Support faculty in pre-clinical medical education endeavors.
• Collaborate with chair and other leaders on educational strategy and policy.
• Lead lifelong learning activities including CME and Grand Rounds.
• Support clinicians in educator development and scholarship initiatives.
• Ensure clinical education aligns with ACGME requirements and trainee goals.
• Promote a culture of scholarship, excellence, and inclusion.
• Serve as a national leader for innovative OB/GYN education models.
• Coordinate with affiliate sites like Tampa General Hospital and Moffitt Cancer Center.
