Job summary

Duke University invites applications for an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant/Certified Midwife) in the Harris & Smith OB-GYN practice.

The successful APP will collaborate with attending physicians to provide direct patient care, perform consultations, gather and document data, and assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures at Duke Health outpatient clinics in Durham, NC.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric care from prenatal visits through postpartum.
• Perform FHR assessment, NST interpretation, and pelvic exams for antepartum and labor assessment.
• Counsel on family planning, routine Well Woman exams, and STI screening.
