Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Gatekeeper to ensure all steps in the order process are followed and discrepancies corrected to move orders through the system accurately. You’ll read order information, verify that incoming and outgoing orders match reports, and support other areas of the cell, while practicing 5S and safety in a fast-paced DC environment.

Strong organizational skills, basic math and computer literacy are required, with at least one year in a distribution center or quality role.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend order information and work instructions.

• Research and fix errors in orders and boxes.
• Identify and correct problem scans and communication resolutions.
• Support other cell areas like material handling, stocking, and packing.
• Follow 5S and safety practices.
• Adapt to change and handle additional tasks as assigned.

Your Role On Our Team

The Gatekeeper is responsible for making sure all steps in the process are followed andanything incorrect is corrected to ensure orders make it through the system physically and systematically.

You’ll Be DISRUPTIVE Through These Duties And Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend order information and work instructions
• Knowledge of all systems in the distribution center
• Verifies that incoming and outgoing orders are correct
• Verifies that pallets and boxes match what High Jump reports
• Ability to research and fix errors with orders/boxes
• Identifies and corrects problem scans
• Identifies and isolates errors and communicates resolution
• Assist in other areas of the cell as needed, such as material handling, stocking, and packing
• Practice 5S and Safety
• Able to react to change effectively and handle other tasks as assigned

The TOOLS You’ll Bring With You

• High School or GED diploma required
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills required
• Must possess basic math and basic computer skills

• Ability to perform work per instructions and within reasonable time
• Must have one year distribution center or quality experience
