Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide obstetric anesthesia in the Birth Day Center. This 0.4 FTE role includes 16 hours per week with 24/7 call expectations and weekend coverage.

The position offers in-house shift with call room provided, and includes responsibilities for preoperative evaluation, neuraxial techniques, intraoperative anesthesia and postoperative care, narcotic accounting, and patient monitoring.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) license and DEA registration within 6 months if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric anesthesia including labor analgesia and neuraxial techniques.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluation and post-anesthesia care.
• Manage narcotic accounting and distribution.
• Assist with patient positioning, transport, and intraoperative monitoring.
