St. Joseph's Home Health, Inc. in Midland, Texas is seeking an OASIS Reviewer, Coding, and QA Nurse to ensure accurate OASIS data submissions, coding, and clinical documentation.
The role supports regulatory compliance, collaborates with clinical staff, and uses data analytics to drive improvements in reimbursement and patient care. The position offers opportunities to train staff, ensure adherence to Medicare guidelines, and contribute to high-quality home health services.
As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and quality of OASIS data submissions, coding, and clinical documentation. This role is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting clinical staff, and optimizing agency performance through data-driven decision-making.
OASIS Data Review & Export: Review and validate OASIS assessments for accuracy and completeness prior to submission. Export OASIS data to Medicare, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and timelines.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation to verify adherence to state, federal, and agency guidelines. Monitor ongoing compliance with Medicare and other regulatory requirements.
Training & Support: Provide training and ongoing support to clinical staff regarding accurate OASIS data entry and Medicare compliance. Stay informed and educate staff on updates and changes in relevant regulations.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure patient assessments are thoroughly and accurately documented to reflect the care provided. Coordinate with billing and reimbursement teams to facilitate smooth data flow and reimbursement processes.
Reporting & Analytics: Generate reports on OASIS data submissions, quality assurance activities, and compliance status. Analyze trends in documentation errors or compliance issues to inform process improvements.
Knowledge of OASIS data entry and Medicare guidelines
Experience in healthcare coding and documentation review
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to train and support clinical staff
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations
