Job summary

UK St. Claire Home Health in Morehead, Kentucky seeks a Coding Quality Review Specialist II to ensure accurate OASIS documentation and ICD-10 coding, supporting data integrity and regulatory compliance. The role collaborates with clinicians to resolve data issues and contributes to overall quality improvement.

You will educate staff onsite and virtually, assist with chart reviews for billing accuracy, and participate in competency evaluations, with hybrid eligibility upon approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health information management, healthcare administration, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in medical coding, quality review, or related area.
• Equivalent education/experience considered; paid experience only.
• Part-time/PRN prorated; volunteer work not counted.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10 CM codes to diagnoses from OASIS, records, and care plans.
• Obtain missing information from clients to ensure accurate coding.
• Review OASIS documentation and coding for accuracy and completeness.
• Consult clinicians to clarify documentation discrepancies and recommend corrections.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulations.
• Collaborate with Audit Specialist to clear charts for billing accuracy.
• Provide coding and OASIS education to clinicians onsite and virtually.
• Assist in developing competency evaluations for employees on OASIS.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
