Qualifications

• 3+ years of dental billing or dental office experience.
• Familiarity with CDT codes and insurance claim processes.
• Experience with OpenDental.
• Strong understanding of PPO and Medicaid/Denti-Cal plans.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills with insurance.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit dental insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review and post insurance payments, adjustments, and patient payments to accounts.
• Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals with insurance carriers.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
• Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, balances, and payment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient account records and billing documentation.
• Coordinate with front office and clinical staff to ensure proper coding and documentation.
