Job summary

DeepSig is seeking a skilled test engineer to join our Arlington team, focusing on testing O-RAN DU software and hardware components. You will plan, design, and execute test cases to ensure conformance, interoperability, performance, and reliability of the DU in line with O-RAN Alliance and 3GPP specs.

You will collaborate with development, integration, and network teams to validate DU functionality, contribute to automation and CI/CD, and prepare detailed test reports guiding product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, CS, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in lab, test, or integration role.
• Familiarity with 4G/5G RAN concepts and 3GPP standards.
• Proficiency with Python and shell scripting; testing automation experience.
• Comfortable with Linux and IP networking fundamentals.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with lab hardware, protocol analyzers, and log files.
• Self-directed; translates test objectives into plans with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts for O-RAN DU software & interfaces.
• Perform conformance testing to verify O-RAN and 3GPP compliance.
• Conduct interoperability testing between O-DU and O-CU/O-RU.
• Run end-to-end testing to validate complete O-RAN communication chain.
• Log, track, and help resolve defects with development teams.
• Automate tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate performance metrics and KPIs for DU compliance.
• Support site commissioning and integration activities.
• Prepare detailed test reports and feedback for product improvements.
• Stay updated on O-RAN releases and testing methodologies.
