Job Description

Position: Operations & Maintenance Technician

Site: 357 MW Cannon Falls Energy Center

Location: Cannon Falls, MN

The O&M Technician provides the organization with a knowledgeable, multi-skilled, troubleshooting expert who operates and maintains a 357MW simple cycle power station. This position requires highly flexible individuals that work various shift schedules in a team environment performing various team support functions.

Responsibilities
  • The O&M Technician will be a team player performing operations, maintenance, and technical support to achieve safe, cost-effective operation and maintenance of the Cannon Falls Energy Center.
  • Operate the facility during start-up, shutdown, normal, and emergency conditions in accordance with operating procedures and instructions to maintain safe and efficient operation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems in a power generation facility.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe work environment and professional appearance.
  • Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures.
  • The O&M Technician will work various shifts and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of directly related operations, mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation and controls experience in a power generation facility or maintaining large industrial equipment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • GE 7FA experience is a plus but not required.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

This is a safety-sensitive position. Individuals receiving conditional offers of employment will be subject to drug testing and must receive a negative result to begin working for the company.

Compensation

Base Pay: $35.17 - $56.09 USD Hourly

Bonus: 0% - 10%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers various factors when determining base pay offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, and the candidate's experience, education, and skills.

In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation may include participation in bonus programs designed to reward individual and company performance. Your recruiter can provide more details during the hiring process.
