Job summary

Fluor Corporation seeks a Maintenance/Operations Supervisor to coordinate maintenance and operations on small to medium contracts. You will supervise craft workers, develop preventive maintenance calendars, coordinate PM windows, track compliance, and manage parts inventory and third‑party providers to meet safety and quality standards.

You will conduct root‑cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and generate management reports while aligning with project procedures and budget controls.

Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work‑related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non‑degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time‑conscious and time‑effective manner

Job Description

• Participate in project planning and estimating
• Perform Job Risk Analysis (JRA) for out‑of‑norm work scopes
• Ensure contract summaries are made available to, read, and understood by appropriate members of the site team
• Develop Key Result Areas (KRAs) aligned with client, contract, and operating company needs, along with measurable performance indicators
• Establish, implement, and maintain plans for mobilization and the Site Procedures Manual (SPM)
• Develop estimates and written planning activities for electrical scopes and sequence activities during schedule development
• Maintain effective schedule and cost control within assigned field functions and ensure adherence to established practices
• Perform work in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost‑control estimates
• Control change and scope creep by ensuring all scope changes are properly documented and approved prior to work being performed
• Ensure staff complete activities and work orders as scheduled each month
• Establish and ensure efficient utilization of staff
• Provide on‑the‑job and formal training to staff in areas of specialization
• Provide data and reports as required, including studies, evaluations, planning documents, schematics, and various administrative deliverables such as status reports, equipment evaluations, and scopes of work for outside contractors
• Review and assess authorized work scope and continually monitor job progress against plan
• Monitor work order implementation to ensure procedural compliance
• Perform regular audit functions to ensure Fluor standards of workmanship are met
• Review project status reports and direct resolution of operational and maintenance issues to minimize cost and prevent delays
• Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track maintenance work, labor hours, and work orders
• Perform administrative activities related to effective operations management, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Improve service results by developing and implementing work‑process improvements in assigned areas of responsibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Typically degreed, preferably in engineering or business field of study with minimum four (4) years of O&M office or site experience
• Comprehensive understanding of facility management, including plant operations, maintenance, engineering, janitorial services, safety, grounds, and related services
• Ability to delegate tasks
• Recommend a minimum of four (4) years of project and/or site management experience
• Familiarity and knowledge of Work Order Control (WOC) procedures and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Project experience
