Qualifications

• Must hold Orientation and Mobility Specialist license.
• Possess certification from the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired or from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals.
• BA degree and ability to obtain NM teaching license (NM offers an alternative licensure program for BA holders).
• Terms: Salary and work calendar established yearly by the district.
• All GMCS schools are eligible for PSLF.
• Upload copies of official transcripts or evaluations for review.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to students with IEPs in orientation and mobility for visually impaired students.
• Ensure IEPs are current for services and that goals/ objectives are monitored for progress.
• Complete required documents, attend meetings, trainings, and other duties as assigned.
