Job summary

Hanwha Convergence USA is seeking an O&M Field Technician Apprentice to assist site technicians with routine maintenance of solar infrastructure, including inverters, transformers, and trackers. You will work closely with trained personnel to develop skills in the solar industry.

This entry-level role emphasizes safety, hands-on learning, and on-site equipment management, such as logging maintenance activities and adhering to LOTO and PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• Basic Microsoft Office software experience (ie Outlook, Excel)
• Basic electrical principles knowledge
• Basic understanding of common hand tools
• Preferred: Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs
• Electrical testing equipment knowledge (multimeter, IV Curve Tracer, etc.)
• Basic SCADA system monitoring and application experience
• Medium and High Electrical Voltage experience
• 0-2 Years of solar experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair inverters, trackers, and other systems on site.
• Perform retinue testing and repair of DC electrical circuits.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment.
• Manage on site inventory and equipment.
• Ensure site safety and security.
• Perform electrically safe testing procedures on all components on site before maintenance begins.
• Log and record all maintenance activities performed.
• Adhere to all site safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, and safe working practices.
• Perform all solar site activities not listed above.

Position Summary

The O&M Field Technician Apprentice position is to assist other site technicians in the routine site maintenance of the inverters, transformers, combiner boxes, trackers, modules, etc. An O&M Field Technician Apprentice will work closely with trained personnel to improve their knowledge and skills in the solar industry.
