Job summary

Hanwha Convergence USA in Arizona is hiring an O&M Field Technician Tech I to assist site technicians with routine maintenance of inverters, trackers, and related solar equipment.

You will work with trained personnel to expand your solar industry knowledge, perform safety procedures, log activities, and help maintain equipment while following LOTO and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic Microsoft Office software experience (Outlook, Excel).
• Basic knowledge of electrical principles.
• Basic understanding of common hand tools.
• 1+ year of solar experience.
• Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs (preferred).
• Electrical testing equipment knowledge (multimeter, IV Curve Tracer, etc.) (preferred).
• Basic SCADA system monitoring and application experience (preferred).
• Medium and high electrical voltage experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair inverters, trackers, and other systems on site.
• Perform retinue testing and repair of DC electrical circuits.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment.
• Manage on site inventory and equipment.
• Ensure site safety and security.
• Perform electrically safe testing procedures on all components on site before maintenance begins.
• Log and record all maintenance activities performed.
• Adhere to all site safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, and safe working practices.
• Perform all solar site activities not listed above.

Position Summary

The O&M Field Technician Tech 1 position is to assist other site technicians in the routine site maintenance of the inverters, transformers, combiner boxes, trackers, modules, etc. An O&M Field Technician Tech I will work closely with trained personnel to improve their knowledge and skills in the solar industry.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Required:


• Ability to mostly work in an outside environment


• Lifting items greater than 35 pounds


• Walking on uneven ground and navigating rough terrain.


• Ability to handle temperature extremes.


• Able to wear and safely utilize all PPE required to perform tasks.

COMPENSATION:

$22.00 - $25.00 / hr
