Job summary

Vox Media Group, Curbed and New York Magazine’s Real Estate desk, seeks a temporary Real Estate Editor to oversee NYC coverage for a two-month contract. You will edit stories, assign features, and collaborate with freelancers to expand our real estate portfolio.

Based in New York, you’ll guide two staff writers and a weekly permalancer, coordinate with editors on visuals and social promotion, and produce ambitious, sharply edited pieces about New York housing and development.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of New York City real estate.
• 3–5 years of editorial experience covering NYC real estate, neighborhoods, and development.
• Proven track record of publishing smart, ambitious stories.
• Experience managing staff writers and freelancers.
• Collaborative, with strong line editing.

Responsibilities

• Edit news stories and features about NYC real estate and development.
