Curbed, Vox Media's real estate site, is seeking a temporary Real Estate Editor to shape NYC coverage for a two‑month contract. You will edit news stories and features, generate assignments, and work with freelancers to expand our NYC real estate coverage.

You’ll oversee two staff writers and a weekly permalancer, collaborate with editors across New York Magazine on visuals and social promotion, and ensure rigorous, ambitious reporting.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of New York City real estate and its markets.
• 3–5 years of experience as an editor, covering NYC real estate, neighborhoods and development.
• Proven track record of publishing smart, ambitious stories.
• Experience managing staff writers and freelancers.
• Big-picture thinker with rigorous, sharp line editing.
• Collaborative attitude and ability to balance multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Edit news stories and features about NYC real estate and development.
