Job summary

AJ Chambers US is seeking a mid-level associate for its Corporate & Business Transactions practice in New York. You will work on sophisticated corporate transactions, including M&A and private equity matters, alongside partners and senior lawyers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role offers significant deal exposure, mentorship, and development opportunities within a respected global law firm. Active NY Bar admission is required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
• 3-5 years of law firm experience in corporate transactions.
• Experience working on M&A and/or private equity transactions.
• Strong drafting and negotiation experience with transaction agreements.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Active admission to the New York Bar.

Responsibilities

• Advising on mergers and acquisitions transactions.
• Supporting private equity investments and buyouts.
• Drafting and negotiating transaction agreements and ancillary documentation.
• Conducting and managing transactional due diligence.
• Coordinating multi party transactions with clients, advisors, and opposing counsel.
• Assisting with general corporate governance and strategic transactional matters.
