Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable English/Punjabi Educational Interpreters for part-time, as-needed in NYC, NY. Interpreters will provide in-person interpretation services in educational settings, covering conferences, meetings, and student-related activities.

Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English and Punjabi fluently, maintain neutrality, and travel to assignments in NYC. This role is not remote and offers flexible, as-needed scheduling with a starting pay of $35.00

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Punjabi.
• Interpret spoken communication accurately between English and Punjabi.
• Maintain neutrality and confidentiality in school settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences, CSE/CPSE meetings, student evaluations and enrollments.
• Interpret across meetings and school events with accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
• Maintain professional communication with families, educators, and school staff.
• Arrive on time and travel to in-person assignments in NYC, NY.
