Color Factory LLC is seeking a Facilities Technician in New York, NY to ensure venue operational efficiency by performing routine and emergency maintenance. The role supports exhibit installations, adheres to safety protocols, and maintains high cleanliness and presentation standards.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot issues promptly and work well in a fast-paced, guest-facing setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience in facility maintenance, technical operations, or exhibit installation preferred.
• Strong knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose facilities and exhibit issues efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with multiple departments.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and uphold high cleanliness standards.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
• Support exhibit installations and breakdowns.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality checks to meet maintenance and presentation standards.
• Assist with custodial emergencies to maintain a clean environment.
• Collaborate with Facilities Supervisors to ensure operations run smoothly.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Facilities Technician (FT) ensures the venue’s operational efficiency by executing routine and emergency maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs. This role supports exhibit installations and breakdowns, adheres to safety protocols, assists with custodial emergencies to maintain a clean environment, and conducts quality checks under the direction of Facilities Supervisors to ensure all maintenance and presentation standards are met.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years or older

Previous experience in facility maintenance, technical operations, or exhibit installation preferred.

Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose facilities and exhibit issues efficiently.

Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
